ABOUT
Allie's Story

In 2001 (holy moly that was many moons ago-lol), I graduated from Algonquin College's 3 year Massage Therapy Program in Ottawa.
I worked at a Chiropractic office in Kingston with other health care professionals for a long time, and loved it! But I really wanted to be able to provide my own small community of South Frontenac with wellness-based health care without having to travel to the city. That's when Back to Health was born, in 2014!

Back to Health was received with great support from family, friends and neighbours! I'm soooo grateful for their ongoing trust and support!

I grew up enjoying my summers at our cottage on Dog Lake every year. Hiawatha's Hideaway Cottage Resort was founded by my grandpa in 1960, so I hold Battersea, and this neck of the woods, very close to my heart! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 children: camping, boating, fishing, skiing and snowmobiling. Anything outdoorsey is right up my alley!

My other passion is HORSES! I've been riding since I was 5 and still love every minute of being around horses! So I ride with my daughter and horsey friends as much as I can, and I love teaching riding lessons too!

I believe it's soooo important to continue learning and improving my skills with the hope to help others. So I continue to take additional courses whenever I can. Here are some of my favourite courses so far :
-Cadaver Anatomy at the University of Ottawa
-Scapular Stretch-Rotator Cuff Injury
-TMJ dysfunction
-LED/LASER therapy
-Therapeutic Ultrasound
-Axial Joint Mobilizations
-Indie Head Massage
-Hot Stone Massage
-Athletic Taping
-Certified Equine Massage Therapist (1996)
-Equine Canada Certified Competition Coach (riding lessons)
-Equine Canada Licensed Coach
