In 2001, I graduated from Algonquin College's 3 year Massage Therapy Program in Ottawa.
I worked at a Chiropractic office in Kingston with other health care professionals for many years. I loved working there, but I really wanted to be able to provide my own small community of South Frontenac with excellent health care without having to travel to the city. That's when Back to Health was born, in 2014!
Back to Health was received with great support from family, friends and neighbours! I am so grateful for their ongoing trust and support!
I grew up enjoying my summers at our cottage on Dog Lake every year. Hiawatha's Hideaway Cottage Resort was founded by my grandpa in 1960, so I hold Battersea (and area) very close to my heart! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and 2 children: camping, boating, fishing, skiing and snowmobiling. Anything outdoorsey is right up my alley! My other passion is horses! So I ride with my daughter and horsey friends as much as I can, and I love teaching riding lessons too!
I believe it's soooo important to continue learning and improving my skills! That way, I can help others enjoy a healthier life by relieving pain and reducing their stress. So I continue to take additional courses whenever I can. Here are some of my favourite courses so far :
-University of Ottawa's Cadaver Anatomy
-Scapular Stretch/Rotator Cuff Injury
-Axial Joint Mobilizations
-Hot Stone Massage
-Certified Equine Massage Therapist (1996)
-Certified Equine Canada Competition Coach
